** Still no word on missing North Carolina combat medic

** Funeral services held for Alabama paramedic killed in flash flood

** One month after her disappearance and there is still no word on the whereabouts of a Fort Bragg based female combat medic. That is the word from the Daily Mail (May 6) which quoted the brother of Pfc. Kelli Bordeaux, 23, as saying little information has been turned up by police in the case. According to the newspaper, Bordeaux disappeared April 14th after having drinks at a local bar. Although married, she left the site with a registered sex offender who claims he is not involved in the missing persons case. Bordeaux’ husband was away at the time. Bordeaux, who is only 5 foot 1, joined the army in 2011.

** Funeral services were held this past weekend in Madison, South Dakota for a paramedic who drowned in a flash flood May 6. Myfoxal.com (May 9) said the commemoration for Douglas PJ Bean, 29, saw emergency workers from as far away as Alabama attend. According to the newspaper, Bean, who worked in Tuscaloosa, had returned to Madison for his brother’s graduation. He was swept away by a rushing creek post storm.
