UNITED STATES NEWS

** A former Union County, North Carolina EMT is facing a whole host of charges after he allegedly prompted a high speed chase before ramming two police cars. WSOC TV (Tenikka Smith/March 19) said Thomas Lee Lynch, Jr., has been tagged with speeding, DWI, assault on a government official, and possession of a controlled prescription drug (Fentanyl) in the March 19th incident. According to the news site, Lynch’s erratic driving on the I-85 alerted cops to his presence. When he declined to pull over, police blocked him at an exit ramp. When Lynch proceeded to ram the cruisers, officers broke his window and arrested him at gunpoint. Lynch had recently resigned as a paramedic after 15 years working for the county.
