** Phoenix man steals ambulance left running at house fire site

** Two California men charged in connection with March beating of paramedic

** A Phoenix, Arizona man has been charged with suspicion of theft and criminal damage after he stole an ambulance from a house fire site early Sunday morning. The Associated Press (July 26) said the man, who admitted he had smoked marijuana prior to the heist, seized the vehicle while it was left running. According to the newspaper, after Travis Ward, 28, took the rig, he drove it into a post, a fence, and several parked cars. No one was injured in the incident.

** Los Angeles police have charged two men with felony mayhem and assault in connection with the March 31st beating of paramedic Bryan Stow, 42. KSBW (July 26) said Louie Sanchez, 29, and Marvin Norwood, 30, are also alleged to have attacked other people during the Dodger Stadium baseball game. According to the newspaper, Sanchez has been charged with misdemeanor battery after apparently tossing something at a woman wearing a Giants jersey. However, authorities are seeking further information from the public on others who may have suffered at the two’s hands. Sanchez’ sister, meanwhile, has also been arrested in connection with the Stow assault. The prime suspect in the Stow beating, Giovanni Ramirez, has now been cleared of involvement in the incident.
