** Saskatchewan air ambulance taken out of service after towing accident at hangar

CANADA NEWS

* A towing accident in Saskatchewan has put one of the province’s air ambulances out of service due to a damaged tail. That is the word from CBC (July 13) which said the fixed wing aircraft sustained the wound when it hit a hangar door around 12 noon Friday. According to the news site, the out of commission plane will not impact overall air ambulance service. A spokesman for the province said two aircraft are maintained at flight ready status at all times to compensate for regular maintenance on a third plane. Officials, however, are nevertheless still investigating how the accident occurred in the first place.
