** Former Welsh medic sentenced to jail time for selling steroids over Internet

IRAQ NEWS

** A suicide bomber who struck the city of Baquoba yesterday was riding in an ambulance carrying victims of another attack when he struck. That is the word from the Associated Press (Hamid Ahmed/March 3) which said a trio of explosions killed about 30 people. The one involving an EMS unit detonated at a hospital. Police spokesman Capt. Ghalib al-Karkhi said the majority of victims came from this blast. The incident comes mere days before widespread elections on March 7. The polls coincide with the end stages of the US military’s involvement in Iraq.

UNITED KINGDOM NEWS

** A former Welsh Ambulance Service paramedic in Swansea has been sentenced to jail for selling steroids to bodybuilders. Wales Online (March 3) said Alan Dutton, 37, who no longer works for the service, was linked in the conspiracy with former London police officer Justin Weaver, 27. According to the newspaper, Dutton advertised the drugs on the Internet, while Weaver also sold them. Dutton was handed a ten month jail term for supplying the meds, while Weaver was sentenced to 16 months for additional tags of misconduct in public office and conspiracy to pervert the course of public justice.
