** An off duty Memphis, Tennessee paramedic is dead, after being killed Tuesday in a car accident. ABC 24 (January 23) said the unidentified practitioner died around 7:30 p.m. after the driver of a stolen Honda Accord struck his Durango truck head-on, forcing it to roll. The Commercial Appeal (Sherri Drake/January 23) said police have identified the EMS worker as Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton medic Daron Juan Greenway, 42. ** Charges are not expected to be laid in the road death of a Kentucky EMS Director Tuesday. That is the word from the Lexington-Herald Leader (Cassondra Kirby/January 23) which said police have determined icy road conditions were responsible for the accident that killed Paintsville resident Christa Burchett, 33. According to the newspaper, the driver of a coal truck travelling US 460 in Johnson County lost control, hitting and killing Burchett and pregnant MVA victim Erica Brown, 24. Burchett had worked EMS since 2003. She became director in April 2007 and leaves a 14-year-old daughter Olivia behind. Funeral services are pending.
