A STARS air ambulance takes part in a November 15th emergency response exercise in Alberta. Edmonton based KBR, Canada conducted the practice.

KBR is an industry leader in occupational safety and health services support for its employees. Participants included KBR Health Services paramedics and HSE staff from four different sites and areas of responsibility, KBR employees from Warehouse 1 and Modular Yard 1, and STARS Air Rescue (Edmonton). The purpose of the exercise was to assess internal and external communications, existing policy and procedures, and the ability to establish a safe landing zone rapidly within our industrial setting. The result was the culmination of 6 months of meetings, discussions and policy development. Mr. Ken Parker, who celebrates 40 years with KBR on November 27, 2007, was the patient. The exercise was very successful and an example of STARS commitment to the community it serves.
