** Police identify name of Pennsylvania medic killed in Monday MVA

** Authorities in Pennsylvania have released the name of a female paramedic killed while attending an MVA scene Monday. WTAJ (March 2) said police identified the medic as West End Ambulance Service practitioner Janice Livingstone. Livingstone died around 10 a.m. in Yoder Township after being struck by a truck. Police said the stretch of road where the accident occurred remains closed. The cause of the crash, however, is unknown. Police continue to investigate.

** A Shoreditch man has escaped jail time after urinating from a fourth floor balcony onto a female paramedic attempting to aid an assault victim. LBC (March 3) said Andrew Whitehead, 22, has instead been sentenced to only 300 hours community service. According to the news site, Whitehead committed the act on January 31st in the early morning hours. The patient involved was being treated for head injuries at the time. Paramedic Lorna Mcllwaine, 30, who was the victim of the incident, said Whitehead was chuckling while he exposed himself on the balcony. She said the prank resulted in her unit being taken out of service for a brief period. Along with the community service order, Whitehead was also tasked with paying a 250 pound fine.

** Female Pennsylvania paramedic killed at MVA scene
** BC paramedics launch public relations campaign

** A female Pennsylvania paramedic is dead after being struck by a coal truck at an MVA scene Monday. The Associated Press (March 2) said the practitioner died on Route 271 in Upper Yoder Township near Johnstown. According to the newspaper, the woman worked for West End Ambulance Services. Icy road conditions were present at the time. Police reconstructionists are now investigating the scene. The name of the medic has not yet been released.
