** UK man high on legal drug arrested after attacking paramedic
UNITED STATES NEWS
** A Missouri politician is attempting to have a stretch of highway named in honour of a former flight medic and nurse who perished in a 2011 air ambulance crash. That is the word from News Press Now (February 28) which said St. Joseph Rep Delus Johnson (Rep) has drafted legislation for the state House to consider. According to the newspaper, (Ray Scherer/February 28) if passed, a section of Business Highway 71 in Andrew County will be re-dubbed Randy Bever Memorial Highway. Bever died August 26, 2011 near Mosby when the chopper he was in went down during a patient transport. Also killed in the crash was flight paramedic Chris Frakes, pilot James Freudenberg and a patient. The bill, which was heard last week in the Transportation Committee, should be on the House floor before the end of the month.
