** A former Georgia police officer from Columbus has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering his paramedic lover on May 31st of last year. That is the word from WRBL (Chuck Williams/September 28) which said William Talley, 52,  pleaded guilty Monday to killing Kelly Levinsohn, 44. According to the newspaper, Levinsohn, who worked for Care Ambulance, died from a gunshot wound to the head while at her home. Police say following the shooting, Talley removed Levinsohn from the locale and put her in her truck. He then crashed the vehicle while exiting the I-185. A police standoff ensued, with Talley threatening to kill himself. In March 2018, a prior domestic incident involving the pair resulted in Talley earning a one day suspension.
