** A Florida EMT from Osceola County remains in critical condition in hospital after being hit by a car in Kissimmee at an MVA scene Sunday. Fox 35 Orlando (Robert Guaderrama/July 29) said Dawon Rice, 21, was struck while assessing patients. According to the news site, he sustained multiple fractures in his pelvis and left arm, as well as a ruptured bladder. He also had to have his spleen removed. Despite the severity of his condition, Rice’s parents have not been able to see their son due to COVID-19 restrictions. The driver, meanwhile, who has been named as Alex Shaw, 34, has been tagged with careless driving. There is no word on his next court date.
