** UK paramedic struck off after child porn conviction

UNITED KINGDOM NEWS

** A paramedic/nurse in Worcestershire has lost his licence to practice after being convicted on child porn charges. That is the word from Worcester News (Christian Barnett/May 28) which said Steven Gill, who works as a nurse at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, had nearly 1,000 offensive snaps and videos of tots as young as two-years-old. According to the newspaper, Gill was convicted of possessing and distributing indecent images of children in December of 2018. Arrested in 2017, he brought his case to the attention of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) himself. He has maintained his innocence in the case, saying the images were downloaded inadvertently. Along with jail time and being put on the sex offenders registry for a decade, he is also subject to a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) for five years.
