** Georgia man arrested for firing on medics at call scene

** Georgia police in Montezuma have arrested a man who allegedly fired on Macon County medics attending a medical call Friday. WJBF (AP/May 25) said the man, who apparently has a history of mental illness, let loose with several shots as practitioners approached the patient’s home. Police special response team officers were then dispatched to the site. Jimmy Spradley Jr. was arrested and transported to the local hospital. A law enforcement spokesman said charges are still pending against him. As for the prehospital personnel involved, no one was injured in the incident.
