** Florida woman spits on medic; claims she has COVID-19

** A Florida woman from Lake County is likely to be charged with battery on a paramedic after she spit into the face of an attending provider Sunday. That is the word from The Sun (David Boroff/March 23) which said La-Donald Holmes, 38, was taken into custody after police were first called to her home due to a domestic disturbance. According to the newspaper, EMS was hailed to treat her boyfriend after she kicked him in the face and broke his nose. When medics attempted to assess the man, Holmes spat a large amount of saliva into the medic’s face, at the same time as proclaiming she had tested positive for coronavirus.  Along with the above mentioned charge, she also faces a felony battery tag for the assault on her boyfriend. There is no word on her next court date, nor on whether or not the medic was taken out of service following the incident.
