** A Michigan EMS crew in Detroit narrowly escaped injury New Year’s Eve after a bullet from celebratory gunfire struck the rig they were riding in. That is the word from ClickonDetroit (Rod Meloni/January 1) which said the projectile crashed through the windshield’s upper left section around 11:45 p.m. It then implanted itself in the steering wheel. Police Chief James Craig decried the incident, saying using guns to celebrate occasions was not acceptable. There is no word on whether or not any suspects have been arrested.
