** UK man sentenced to jail for attacking emergency workers

** A Cambridgeshire man has been sentenced to 16 weeks in prison for attacking seven different Stevenge emergency workers. That is the word from The Hertfordshire Mercury (Tommy Wathen/November 28) which said Danny Armstrong, 28, admitted assault by beating of an emergency worker x 7, criminal damage, and racially aggravated harassment. According to the newspaper, Armstrong attacked the six police officers and one East of England Ambulance Service medic on November 18th at 11:30 p.m. at The Forum shopping centre. All suffered minor injuries in the incident. The motivation for the assault has not been revealed. Along with jail time, Armstrong has been tasked with paying a 122 pound victim surcharge.
