UNITED STATES NEWS
** Florida paramedics in Okaloosa County will now be administering Hepatitis A vaccines to some patients. Mypanhandle.com (Erika Orstad/October 16) said the shots are being offered after the county recorded 19 new Hep A cases since last week. According to the news site, county commissioners approved the move Tuesday. High on the list of recipients for the immunizations will be the homeless and non-prescription drug users. County Public Information Officer Christopher Saul said it is hoped the strategy will prevent the disease from spreading further in the area.
