** Boston woman who allegedly stabbed female EMT found unfit to stand trial

UNITED STATES NEWS

** A Massachusetts woman in Boston, who allegedly stabbed a female EMT July 10th, has been found unfit to stand trial. That is the word from The Boston Herald (Alexi Cohan/August 16) which said Julie Tejeda, 31, appeared in court Friday to face charges of assault and attempted murder. According to the newspaper, Tejeda let loose with her knife during a hospital transport for a wellness examination. She managed to stab one of the providers seven times in the stomach and legs, while she pepper sprayed the driver of the EMS unit. Pending further legal proceedings, Tejeda is being treated at Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital. The EMTs involved in the attack, meanwhile, continue to recover at home. A spokesman for Boston EMS said the duo remain on sick leave. Tejeda’s next court date is March 4, 2020.
