** UK man jailed after attacking cops, trying to bite paramedic

** A Darwen man who tried to bite a paramedic and bit, headbutted, and punched a police officer May 26th has been sent to jail for eight months. That is the word from Thisislancashire (Aban Quaynor/August 2) which said Wayne Pearson, 33, who had allegedly drunk hand sanitizer while attending the town’s music festival that day, immediately became aggressive after EMS arrived. He attacked paramedics and then the cop who tried to intervene. When he was finally restrained, he bit the arresting officer on the back of his hand. According to the newspaper, Pearson was arrested after his attack and transported to Royal Blackburn Hospital. He pleaded guilty to assaulting an emergency worker x 2 and breaching a 2017 34-week suspended prison sentence. His lawyer said his antics were influenced by alcoholic roommates at a hostel where he lived.
