** Minnesota governor orders flags to half-staff to honor air ambulance pilot killed in June crash

** Flags at all federal and state buildings in Minnesota were ordered to fly at half-mast Tuesday in honor of the air ambulance pilot killed in a chopper crash near Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport June 28th. That is the word from Fox 9 (July 8) which said Governor Tim Walz mandated the flag lowering to continue from sunrise until sunset. Pilot Timothy McDonald, who worked for North Memorial Health Air Care, died alongside nurse Debra K. Schott. Flight paramedic Josh Duda survived. Flags honoring Schott were also lowered July 3rd.
