** Tennessee medic to go to trial in January for fatal 2018 crash

UNITED STATES NEWS

** A Tennessee paramedic from Chattanooga will go to trial in January of 2019 on charges he was intoxicated and driving the wrong way down a highway when a fatal crash occurred. That is the word from WDEF (Collins Parker/June 17) which said Justin Whalley, who was arraigned in March, appeared in court again Monday. According to the news site, the July 3, 2018 mishap killed James Brumlow. Whalley’s attorney wants to suppress blood alcohol tests done on Whalley because he said they were not sampled until four hours after the crash. He also wants a new venue. Whalley remains in jail pending the posting of a $50,000 bond.
