** FDNY medics hit by unlicensed driver; ambulance sent smashing into streetlight

** A pair of Fire Department of New York (FDNY) paramedics escaped serious injury Monday after an unlicensed driver hit their ambulance, forcing it into a light standard. The New York Daily News (Ginger Adams Otis/May 27) said the East Harlem incident occurred at an intersection just after midnight. According to the newspaper, the crash with the 2017 Dodge resulted in the EMS unit’s front grill caving in. Another vehicle was also hit in the mishap. Although the medics did not suffer any injuries in the collision, the car driver sustained a leg injury while his passenger had facial wounds. Dominique Banks, 28, has been charged with driving without a licence.
