** US marine in California charged with murder in death of EMT

** A California marine, 25, from Camp Pendleton has been charged with murder in relation to the driving death of an EMT who was heading home from work New Year’s Day. The Patch (April 9) said Adam Daniel Barooshian has also been tagged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI causing injury. According to the newspaper, Barooshian allegedly killed motorcyclist Christopher Williams, 29, around 4 a.m. as the latter was returning home from work as a casino medic. Williams, who leaves behind two sons aged 8 and 5, died at the scene. Blood alcohol samples taken from Barooshian shortly after the crash registered at 0.18, over twice the legal driving limit. Arraignment is set for May 20 in Superior Court. Barroshian remains in jail without bail.
