** US Marshals in Ohio arrest violent fugitive who fled ambulance

** US Marshals with the Violent Fugitive Task Force in Cleveland, Ohio arrested a man Thursday who escaped from an ambulance during a mental health transport. Cleveland.com (Evan MacDonald/April 18) said Jonathan Luton was taken into custody around 11:45 a.m. at an area car wash. According to the newspaper, Luton fled the EMS unit the day before clad only in a hospital gown. He had been arrested Saturday after burglarizing a home and attacking a man with an ax. Police said Luton was high on both PCP and marijuana at the time. Along with incidents this past week, Luton’s criminal record includes convictions for burglary, felonious assault, theft, and domestic violence. He was indicted on March 27th on still more charges of felonious assault and domestic violence. No one in the ambulance was injured during his escape. There is no word on any of his upcoming court dates.
