** US Navy medic in Washington D.C. allegedly stabbed man 40 times in Sunday incident

** Police in Washington D.C. say a US Navy medic arrested for killing a man Sunday had apparently stabbed his victim at least 40 times. That is the word from The New York Post (Lia Eustachewich/January 9) which said Navy Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Collin Potter, 26, allegedly attacked the naked man while in his apartment. Potter, who admitted to consuming both alcohol and marijuana during the hours preceding the confrontation, was also found unclothed and standing above the body around 4:15 a.m. Vongell Luogo, 36, suffered stab wounds to his neck, upper chest, and abdomen. Potter has been charged with second-degree murder. He enlisted in the US Navy in 2010 and was working at the Marine Corps The Basic School in Quantico, Virgnia.
