** Mississippi EMS personnel now tasked with transporting wounded K-9 officers

** Mississippi K-9 officers injured in the line of duty can now be transported to a veterinary hospital in an ambulance. WDAM (July 6) said that is the result of a bill which took effect earlier this week after being signed into law by Governor Phil Bryant. According to Senate Bill 2091, EMS can offer both oxygen and transport to the wounded animals.
