** Texas medic reinstated after suspension following drowning call

UNITED STATES NEWS

** Texas authorities in Collin County have reinstated a paramedic who was suspended after attending a drowning call last month. KIII TV (June 4) said Liz Day, who was taken off duty last week, will now be reimbursed for money lost during her absent shifts. According to the news site, Day was benched after American Medical Response superiors learned she had entered the water to help locate drowning victim and Bonham resident Xzavion Epps, 18, who later died. An AMR spokesman said they were unclear as to whether Day had received permission from superiors to undertake the move. Day’s reinstatement comes after widespread publicity over her plight.
