** FDNY EMT arraigned on first degree rape charge involving 10-year-old girl

** A Fire Department of New York (FDNY) EMT will return to court March 23rd to face charges he sexually assaulted a 10-year-old Kew Gardens girl. The Times Ledger (Naeisha Rose/March 7) said Frantz Petion, 25, appeared in court Monday. He was arraigned on a first degree rape charge, as well as on a tag of endangering the welfare of a child. According to the newspaper, Petion attacked the girl in her bedroom while she slept Saturday evening. He had been attending a birthday party at the home. He was discovered by a family friend who had gone to check on the girl. Conviction on the charges could see Petion stay behind bars for up to 25 years.
