** Quebec medics protest stalled contract talks by painting graffiti on ambulances
** Quebec paramedics in Gatineau are apparently protesting slow contract negotiations by painting ambulances with cartoon characters. That is the word from The Ottawa Citizen (Tom Spears/August 16) which said some 30 different EMS units have been emblazoned with the graffiti. According to the newspaper, stripes, splotches, and tie dyed patterns are included in the mix, as are Ghostbusters like displays. The ambulance artwork is being dubbed a rolling protest sign. The latest collective agreement expired in March of 2015.
