UNITED STATES NEWS

** The chief of a Pennsylvania EMS service in Susquehanna Township has been benched after being charged for engaging in sex with a 17-year-old girl. Pennsylvania Live (Eric Verronikis/May 24) said Bradley L. Delancey, 42, was tagged April 21st with corruption of minors x 1. According to the news site, charges relate to a 2014 incident at an area hotel, as well as several other sex acts that occurred in Delancey’s car. A spokesman for Susquehanna Township EMS said his organization only learned about the charges on Thursday. Elliott Markowitz said after a consultation with lawyers, Delancey was suspended Monday. There is no word yet on his next court date.

** A preliminary hearing for a Colorado EMT accused of physically abusing his infant son, has been postponed until July 21st to give the defence more time to prepare. That is the word from The Coloradoan (Sarah Jane Kyle/May 24) which said lawyers for Fort Collins resident Jason Schneider, 30, have asked for the interval to review medical documents related to the case. According to the newspaper, Schneider was charged with felony child abuse after a February 18th call to 911 saying his 4-month-old son Cody had lost consciousness after allegedly aspirating formula. Schneider said he did back blows and CPR, but the child ended up being airlifted to Denver’s Children’s Hospital in life threatening condition. The jig was up for him, however, when doctors indicated Cody’s injuries could only have been caused by non accidental trauma. Schneider surrendered to police March 10th. If convicted of the Class 3 felony, he could face between 4 and 12 years in prison.
