** Ohio officials in Parma have agreed to pay a city man $100,000 in compensation after he claimed he sustained a broken rib during a physical confrontation with first responders. Cleveland.com (Eric Heisig/April 8) said Richard Pettry, 38, also said he was tasered by police during the August 2013 incident, despite the fact he was not being aggressive. Pettry launched his suit in 2014. According to the newspaper, his niece had originally hailed EMS after her uncle suffered a seizure. Dispatchers did not inform medics of the accurate information and instead he was treated as a drug abuser. When he stood on a bed, Pettry said the practitioners violently tackled him. A city spokesman said police and paramedics acted correctly to protect Pettry from himself. The talking head said the settlement was to prevent further litigation costs.
