** Indiana EMT who went missing after allegedly stealing funds has hefty bail set

** Alabama officials have identified the victims of an air ambulance crash that happened Saturday in Coffee County. Sky News US Team (March 27) said the accident claimed the lives of flight medic Jason Snipes, flight nurse Stacey Cernadas, pilot Chad Hammond, and car accident patient Zach Strickland. According to the news site, the aircraft went down in a wooded area after picking up Strickland who was suffering from a broken leg. The Haynes operated chopper was en route to a Montgomery hospital at the time and crashed about 3 minutes after take-off. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigators are now looking into the mishap.

** An Indiana EMT from Aurora, who disappeared February 24th after $106,000 went missing from his EMS service, is being held in jail pending the posting of a $200,000 bond. Eagle Country Online (Mike Perleburg/March 28) said Craig Whitham, 42, has been behind bars since surrendering himself to police on March 16th. According to the newspaper, the judge at his March 18th court hearing said Whitham is a flight risk. He has been charged with the Level 5 felony of theft. His next court date has been set for May 10th at which time a pre-trial hearing will take place.
