** Georgia EMS director arrested for sexual assault

UNITED STATES NEWS

** A Georgia EMS director has been arrested for sexual assault and having inappropriate contact with inmates at the Calhoun State Jail. That is the word from The Albany Herald (Jennifer Parks/March 18) which said Calhoun County EMS head Susan English Slappey is also subject to warrants in a number of other counties. According to the newspaper, search warrants were executed last Tuesday at both Slappey’s home and workplace. She was then arrested after several items were discovered that are prohibited for inmates. Bail was made in that instance. The sexual assault of a person of supervisory authority charge, meanwhile, relates to both Early and Dougherty counties. Specific details on both charges have not yet been released.
