** Former ambulance director in Illinois jailed for theft and misconduct

** The former director of a Hancock County, Illinois ambulance service will be cooling his heels in
jail for the next four months after pleading guilty to theft and official misconduct. That is the word
from WGEM (January 8) which said Paul Richardson was sent to prison Friday. According to the
news site, Richardson allegedly stole $8,767 from Hancock County EMS by way of filing false
overtime reports in 2014. He has since repaid the money via a restitution order. Along with
incarceration time, Richardson was also sentenced to 24 months of a conditional discharge.
