** North Dakota EMT going to jail for stealing money from MVA victims
** New York university student indicted for December ambulance theft

** A North Dakota volunteer medic from Dalton will serve 10 days in jail after pleading guilty to
stealing cash from a fatal MVA scene. That is the word from WDAY (January 12) which said Tara
Lindquist, 43, entered her guilty plea in court just 2 days before her trial was set to begin. According
to Valley News Live (August 11), Lindquist is alleged to have taken 2 hundred dollar bills from 2
patients after an I-94 crash on June 23rd of last year. Brothers, Zachary and Connor Kvalvog, 18
and 14-years-of-age respectively, died in the accident. Two other youths survived.  Under
questioning, Lindquist admitted taking $120 from a wallet on the side of the road. Along with
the jail time, she must pay restitution of $86 and will serve one year probation.
** A Geneseo, New York university student is out on bail after being indicted for stealing an
ambulance December 5th. WHAM (January 12) said Colin Dahlberg, 22, has been charged with
grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, obstructing medical services, and several
DWI tags. According to the news site, Dahlberg allegedly made off with the EMS unit while drunk.
Later testing revealed his blood alcohol content was over twice the legal limit. The Genesee Sun
(Conrad Baker/January 12) said, if convicted on the more serious charges, Dahlberg could spend
up to 15 years in a state prison.
