** A preliminary hearing is set for today in Gooding, Idaho for a paramedic accused of rape (2),
domestic battery, and indecent exposure. That is the word from KSVT (December 1) which said
Dwayne Steven Woodbridge, 36, was charged after the county sheriff investigated. According to
the news site, the tags relate to a November 2nd incident that apparently took place at EMS
headquarters. Police were alerted to the alleged crime by an EMS official. Additional details on
the matter have not yet been released.
** A commendation winning Fort Hood,Texas combat medic died last Wednesday while en route to a
Thanksgiving celebration after being hit by a car while attempting to retrieve a cell phone left on a
vehicle trunk. The Army Times (December 1) said Spc. Kayleb Richardless Harp, 24, was en route to
Austin when the driver of his vehicle pulled into the center turn lane to retrieve the mobile around
6:30 p.m. Harp was hit by a truck as he tried to return to his car. Police deemed the incident an
accident, noting it was dark at the time and traffic was excessively heavy. Harp, who served with
the 215th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, was
originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado. A combat medic since 2012, he was also the recipient
of the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on
Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the Driver and Mechanic Badge.
