** A Grand Rapids, Michigan EMT/firefighter is facing four years in prison after pleading guilty to
the felony of making a false report. Michigan Live (Barton Deiters/December 14) said Jennifer
Marie Klutman, 31, who has since left her job, alleged domestic abuse at the hands of her police
officer boyfriend on September 18th. Investigation showed the officer, identified as Matt Smith,
did not exist. Klutman apparently admitted her ruse to police on October 29th, pleading guilty on
Monday. Sentencing is set for February 4th. Along with jail time, she could lose her EMS licence.
She is currently free on a $5,000 bond. No word on her motive has been released.
** The former girlfriend of a Hawaii based US Army medic has pleaded guilty to stabbing the latter’s
wife to death. That is the word from KIKI Radio (December 10) which said Alisha Jackson, 25,
is likely to serve up to 33 years in prison in a plea deal that will see her testify against the husband
of Catherine Walker. According to the news site, Jackson and Sgt. Michael Walker allegedly colluded
in the death of Catherine by making the crime look like a robbery gone wrong. Michael Walker goes to
trial on August 30, 2016 for first degree murder by way of aiding and abetting. People.com
(Greg Hanlon/October 11) said Walker has pleaded not guilty and remains incarcerated at
Honolulu’s Federal Detention Center pending trial.
