** Grand Jury indicts Texas EMT for firing on sheriff’s deputies
UNITED STATES NEWS
** A former Texas EMT from Morgan Mill has been indicted by a grand jury for allegedly firing a
weapon at two sheriff’s deputies. That is the word from The Stephenville Empire-Tribune
(Sarah Vanden Berge/November 20) which said Cody Miller will stand trial on aggravated
assault against a public servant x 2. According to the newspaper, Miller let loose with the shotgun
blasts after hailing police to his home for being suicidal. Both bullets missed the men, but one
struck the police cruiser. After Miller’s girlfriend convinced him to surrender, he was taken into
custody. Miller remains in jail pending the posting of a $700,000 bail. In a subsequent interview
with the media, Miller said he had been suffering from both depression and PTSD.
