** Namibian paramedic killed in August air ambulance crash finally buried
NAMIBIA NEWS
** A flight paramedic, who died in an air ambulance crash in South Africa August 16th, was finally
laid to rest Saturday. That is the word from AllAfrica (September 18) which said the remains of
Alfred John Ward, 24, were repatriated last Wednesday after his family made a public plea for their
return. According to the newspaper, Ward’s family was given no explanation for the withholding
of the body which prevented them from settling the paramedic’s estate. Ward died alongside 5 other
people after the receiving airport in Cape Town experienced a radar problem. The plane went down
shortly after the aircraft was placed in a holding pattern.
