fire, and police personnel
UNITED STATES NEWS
** New York City and Washington D.C. residents will today commemorate the 14th anniversary since the
World Trade Center and Pentagon terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of EMS, fire, and police personnel,
as well as civilians. The strike killed 2,606 people in the buildings, as well as 246 on the planes and 125 at
the Pentagon.  By way of tribute to those who lost their lives, Immortal News (Star Bryson/September 7)
said the 9/11 Memorial will once again hold its Tribute in Light running from 3 p.m. to midnight. The
memorial will see two bands of light projected upwards from the former World Trade Center footprint.
In addition, a remembrance ceremony at Memorial Plaza will begin at 8:39 a.m. Six minutes of silence
will be observed, followed by the reading of the names of those killed in both the 1993 bombing and in
2001. Church bells will also ring to recognize the event.
