** Following a three year investigation, a Fire Department of New York (FDNY) EMT has been fired for allegedly threatening two colleagues with a knife. That is the word from the New York Daily News (Amber Jamieson/February 8) which said Sean Holdip, 35, was apparently let go in December after exhausting all appeals in relation to the March 10, 2011 incident. According to the newspaper, Holdip wielded the 4†blade while outside Brooklyn’s Brookdale Hospital. The incident followed a similarly menacing one in late 2010 when he allegedly swung a broom at a coworker who he thought had made disparaging remarks about his driving skills. In addition to the two aforementioned occurrences, Holdip is also accused of calling a female medic a derogatory name. During the course of the investigation into his conduct, he was relegated to working in the supply room.
