** Virginia EMT to go before grand jury in marijuana laced cookies case
** Saskatchewan medics recognized for heroics

** The case of a Virginia EMT, accused of giving under aged teens marijuana laced brownies, will go before a grand jury January 13th. That is the word from NBC 12 (Shawn Maclauchlan/November 19) which said Richmond resident Trevin Cannon, 19, appeared in court Monday. Cannon has been charged with felony child neglect x 3 and distributing marijuana to a minor x 1. He remains on administrative leave from the Richmond Ambulance Authority pending the outcome of the legal proceeding.
CANADA NEWS
** A pair of Saskatchewan paramedics from Prince Albert were awarded bravery medals Monday. The Prince Albert Daily Herald (Eric Bell/November 20) said Parkland Ambulance practitioners Kelly Straf and Sheldon Hirschfeld were recognized for rescuing five children from a June 11th apartment fire. According to the newspaper, both received the Royal Humane Society Bronze Medallion for Bravery.
