** A New Hampshire EMT/firefighter has been charged with arson after allegedly setting five fires in one day this past February. That is the word from Foster’s Daily Democrat (Christina Higginbotham/September 17) which said former Peterborough medic Gregory J. Potter, 22, was arrested Monday after a seven month investigation into the incidents. According to the newspaper, Potter has been tagged with arson x 5, criminal mischief x 2, and one count of falsification of physical evidence. Police say all five conflagrations occurred on February 2nd between 1:06 and 3:30 a.m. Potter resigned from the town’s fire department earlier this year. He remains in jail pending the posting of a $100,000 cash bond. Arraignment took place Wednesday.
** An Elon, North Carolina EMT/firefighter has been charged with indecent liberties with a child. The News-Record (September 18) said Nicholas James Campbell, 30, was charged September 5 in relation to the crimes which allegedly took place July 9th at the fire station. According to the newspaper, the female involved was under the age of 16. Campbell resigned from his job Tuesday.
