** Former North Carolina combat medic credited with helping to save woman
** New Hampshire grand jury to ponder indictment against EMT accused of stealing drugs from ambulance service
UNITED STATES NEWS
** A former US Army combat medic from North Carolina is being lauded for helping to save the life of a female seizure patient following an MVA last Wednesday. My Fox 8 (September 12) said Raleigh resident Sergio Godoy rescued Cynthia Reid after she swerved off the road. According to the news site, the woman began convulsing, with blood coming from her mouth. Because the car was locked, Godoy broke the window and called EMS. He told reporters his two tours in Iraq conditioned him to not just keep going when emergencies arise.
** A New Hampshire grand jury will soon be considering whether or not to indict a Peterborough paramedic on charges he stole medications from his ambulance service. That is the word from the Union Leader Correspondent (Meghan Pierce/September 10) which said Antrim resident Jeremy Bouchard, 34, has pleaded not guilty to charges of felony level possession and theft of Fentanyl and Morphine. According to the newspaper, Bouchard waived his right to a probable cause hearing last week. Bouchard, who was arrested August 3, resigned as clinical director of Peterborough Fire and Rescue six days later.
