** Wisconsin EMT acquitted on charges of sexually assaulting female seizure patient
** New York EMT sentenced to jail time for forcibly touching female patient

** A Wisconsin medic, accused of sexually assaulting a female seizure patient while in the ambulance, has been acquitted. Fox 6 Milwaukee (Katie DeLong/August 28) said Somers resident Jordan Froeber was given the decision Wednesday. According to the news service, Froeber had been charged with second degree sexual assault of an intoxicated victim for an incident that took place on July 19, 2011. According to the alleged 20-year-old victim, Froeber touched her genitals beneath her clothing during hospital transport. She also said he photographed his actions. Froeber’s attorney, Jonathan LaVoy, said his client remained steadfast in denying the charges.
** A former New York EMT will be cooling his heels in jail for the next 30 days after being convicted of forcible touching in relation to a female patient. The Leader Herald (Levi Pascher/August 28) said Ambulance Service of Fulton County medic Donald Frye was sentenced Wednesday. Frye also received three years probation and was ordered to stay away from his victims for three years. Although charged with 2 counts, he was convicted on only one. The incidents occurred in 2011 and 2012. Frye, who was also a firefighter, was placed on paid leave in March. He resigned from the fire department two months later and was fired after from his EMS job after his arrest.
