** Drunken Ohio EMT caused wrong way highway crash Wednesday, police say;charges likely pending
AUSTRALIA NEWS
** A New South Wales man who threatened to kill a pair of paramedics attending him earlier this year will serve no jail time, but will have a seven month suspended sentence placed on his record. The Border Mail (August 28) said Christopher King pleaded guilty to intimidation x 2 for the January 22nd incident. According to the newspaper, King’s intimidation tactics began around 3 a.m. after he had hailed EMS for assistance. When the crew arrived, he begged off from the aid, instead inquiring about an ambulance officer from 1987. Increasingly aggressive in his speaking manner, an intoxicated King said he blamed the man for his brother’s 1987 death. After being informed the man had likely retired, he threatened to kill the pair and made the sign of a pistol with his fingers. He was arrested shortly afterwards.
