** Ohio man arrested after punching medic in the face

** Former Massachusetts paramedic named as suspect in triple homicide

UNITED STATES NEWS

** The increasing trend towards patients getting violent with paramedics continued this past weekend when an Ohio man punched a provider in the face. WOIO (September 4) said Robert L. Strouder, 28, let loose with his fists while being transported to Akron’s St. Thomas Hospital. Jumping out of the American Medical Response (AMR) unit after the strike, Strouder was arrested shortly afterwards. He has been charged with assault on a paramedic. There is no word on whether or not the practitioner was injured in the attack.

** A former 9/11 paramedic, who quit EMS after the Twin Towers bombing, has now been named as a suspect in a triple homicide. That is the word from WSMV (September 4) which said Bellevue, Tennessee resident Craig Garber, 41, who has not yet been charged, was found at the crime scene. According to the news site, he was covered with blood from self inflicted wounds when police arrived. The stabbed bodies of Marylea Jordan, 71, her daughter Michelle Pinkowski and her grandson Jonathan Culpepper, 14 were found on-scene. Pinkowski’s 9-year-old daughter managed to escape the home when the killing began, alerting neighbours. Area resident Jacki Allison, whose home was next door to Garber’s, said he was deeply troubled by his experience at Ground Zero, but was, nevertheless, a willingly helpful person. Garber was originally from Dedham, Massachusetts.
