CANADA NEWS

** In an effort to help area seniors and the needy, a group of paramedics with Peterborough EMS in Ontario is planting a give away garden next to their station. That is the word from The Community Press (Mark Hoult/June 10) which said the practitioners, stationed in Norwood, are undertaking the project with the help of the local fair board. Produce grown will be given away through the food bank and a neighbouring medical centre. Paramedic Mark Cameron, who is an avid gardener, said $150 worth of seeds should yield about $4,000 worth of fresh produce.
