** Kentucky police in Middletown say the Thursday stabbing of a paramedic was likely motivated by robbery. That is the word from Wave3 News (Marisela Burgos/May 29) which said the investigation into the incident is proceeding without a current suspect in view. According to the news site, the unnamed 20sish paramedic, who was preparing his unit for a shift, was approached by a male asking for money around 8:40 p.m. When the provider said he had none, the man stabbed him in the abdomen and fled the scene. The medic remains in stable condition in hospital.
