** Manitoba STARS air ambulance to see physicians ride along on transports?
** Court date set for Utah paramedic charged with voyeurism
CANADA NEWS
** To assist in fostering improved confidence in STARS air ambulance in Manitoba, a new report is recommending a physician ride along with air medics for around 2 months. That is the word from the Winnipeg Sun (Kristin Annable/July 23) which said the suggestion is part of a report prepared by the Clinical Oversight Committee and Dr. Brian Postl. According to the tome, other improvements are urged by way of setting up a pediatric transport team and putting an operations liaison committee in place. The resumption of inter facility transports is also being pushed. STARS was grounded in December after concerns for patient safety were raised following three critical incidents. The service resumed 3 months later.
